I offer In-Studio Contemporary Portraiture and Fine Art Portraiture Sessions in my spacious and light filled Photography Studio, based in O’Connor, Perth, Western Australia. Outdoor Portrait Sessions within the Perth metro area, are available for limited portrait sessions.

Fine Art Photography is inspired by the old master paintings. The goal of fine art portrait photography is to express an idea, a message or an emotion in an image. This can be achieved with the selection of tones, styling, posing, lighting and the ‘painterly portrait’ editing process. To ensure my subject is the protagonist in the image, I ensure that the clothing and accessory selections are complimentary. Fine Art Portraits are timeless, emotive and truly capture the essence of the subject’s character.

SESSION DETAILS:

When your portrait session is booked, I will forward you a link to a pre-session questionnaire to complete. Two weeks prior to your portrait session, we will schedule a 30 minute phone consult to finalise plans for your session. To ensure that we create a unique portrait experience, sessions are completely styled and customised to each person/family. Full use of our curated wardrobe and props are available throughout the session.

During the session, I photograph a variety of guided poses and setups in natural or studio light, ensuring that you receive a variety of timeless, natural portraits. I believe that the eyes are the windows to the soul, therefore I love to capture that connection in every portrait session. My goal is to create photographs that are soul-searching, captivating and as unique as the individual.

Following your portrait session, selected images are hand edited by me, in my unique masterful and signature style. 3 weeks following your session, we will meet again in the studio for your image reveal appointment, where you will hand select your favourite printed portraits. There is no hard sell, you only purchase the images that you love. All prints purchased include the corresponding high resolution digital image on a crystal USB.

I am a firm believer in printing and displaying your images in your home. I offer a variety of unique, exquisite framing products to archive and display your heirloom family portraits. To suit the aesthetic of your home and compliment your finished portraits, you can select from vintage ornate, rustic/classic wood and modern gallery, museum grade framing. You are most welcome to browse our framing samples in studio. Custom designed framed Wall Art starts at $500 for a 12” x 18” image.
